AfroLeadership is a pan-African NGO based in Cameroon. We combine research, civic technology and advocacy to promote transparency, participatory democracy and digital rights in Africa.
Research · Technology · Advocacy
‘ The relationship between governments and citizens is deteriorating in many African countries. Our role is to strengthen these bridges — through research, technology and advocacy.’
Since 2010, AfroLeadership has been working to strengthen participatory democracy, transparency in public finances and digital rights in Africa. We combine rigorous research, technological development and citizen advocacy.
Registered in Cameroon, our organisation operates through strong institutional partnerships — IBP, AIMF, the World Bank — and digital platforms deployed within public institutions.
Four thematic pillars that guide all our programmes, research and advocacy work.
We produce evidence on governance, public finance, connectivity and data ethics to inform public policy and stimulate public debate.
Data Justice Research · Open Budget Survey . Dyntra
We develop and deploy digital tools — budget monitoring platforms, local finance management systems, and participatory democracy tools.
COLOB · Decidim4Africa · COPB · SIMBA
We support decentralisation processes and promote public participation in public budgeting, whilst strengthening the accountability of local and national institutions.
Citizen Budget · COPB · COAB Network · CATAN - Africa Network
