We’re offering free coaching for government officials, staff, and advocates who are new to participatory democracy or who want to improve their work. Depending on your interest, we’ll match you with an experienced mentor working on participatory budgeting, citizens’ assemblies, legislative theater, participatory policy-making, or participatory planning.
We know that it can be challenging to find relevant practical guidance for your work, in your language. The Rising Stars Mentorship Program aims to address this problem by connecting rising participatory democracy leaders to experienced experts around the world. We will match government innovators and civil society advocates faced with questions and challenges (mentees) to on-the-ground experts who can address those questions (mentors) throughout a 6-month mentorship process.
We are currently inviting new government innovators and advocates to become Rising Stars Mentees. Please apply here by May 3rd.
We will match mentors and mentees according to participatory process, language, geography, type of institutions, and challenges faced. Selected applicants will receive free guidance over the course of one semester, including up to 5 video calls with mentors.
Guidance from experienced participatory democracy experts at no cost.
Direct connection with leading international participatory democracy practitioners and organizations.
Opportunities for peer learning and collaboration with participatory democracy advocates and practitioners around the world.
Relationship building with your mentor.
Apply by May 3rd to get the help you need to make your participatory process a success! Please share this opportunity with others who might be interested.
