AKO Essan Emile is an activist and professional in the fields of the search for peace, the promotion of democracy and the political participation of young people. He is currently working as a Senior Project Manager in a stability and peace promotion program in the Province of South Kivu in the DRC. AKO has a long history of volunteering, activism and community engagement with many national and international organizations. His commitment to the promotion of responsible and engaged youth in Africa has earned him participation as a panelist, trainer, mentor, speaker and facilitator, in numerous conferences and youth camps in the United States and in several African countries. AKO is the founder of the Impact For Change association, an organization of young leaders committed to the promotion of sustainable development goals in Côte d’Ivoire. He has been a scholarship holder in several international programs; in particular the program of the Obama Foundation for leaders in Africa: “2019 Obama Foundation Leaders Africa”, the program “Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Initiatives” in 2015 and Ambassador of Peace for the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP ) in 2019. Blogger, motivator and graduate in Conflict Management, Linguistics and Sustainable Development, AKO believes in responsible youth capable of meeting current and future challenges for a fulfilled and respected Africa.
