As part of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), AfroLeadership participated on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in the dissemination workshop of the report on access to information and citizen engagement in public affairs management in Cameroon. The event, held at the Djeuga Hotel in Yaoundé, was organized by the National Governance Program (PNG) with support from the World Bank.

The workshop aimed to foster ownership of the report’s findings and to facilitate discussions around potential reform opportunities with key stakeholders. Participants included secretaries-general from various ministries, members of parliament, administrative authorities, representatives from the private sector and civil society, opinion leaders, media professionals, development partners, the Cameroon National Youth Council, and subject matter experts.

The one-day in-person workshop featured a presentation of the report and group work sessions. It concluded with several recommendations put forward by participants to both the Government and the National Governance Program (PNG), aimed at improving access to information and strengthening citizen participation in governance
